L.A. socialite and entrepreneur, Lindsay Faulk, has always been a creative person with dreams of owning her own business.  Originally from Indiana, Lindsay is an artist by trade, always transforming things to showcase their best attributes. Her creativity stems from a background in home & interior design having over 5 years of experience working on celebrity and high profile homes alongside Alicia La Mar. Lindsay then attended the Bellus Academy of San Diego for Aesthetics so that she could specialize in providing top quality skincare, beauty products and services to others. The lingering passion to create her own beauty and makeup line eventually led Lindsay to create Glam Boutique Spa (WE Rule note: this is Lindsay’s old business, for the new link see below). Through Glam Boutique Spa, Lindsay wanted to create a luxurious space for women to hang with their girlfriends and get quick services like spray tans, facials, lashes, waxing, and more while being able to shop some of the industry’s best face and body products.

Tell us about your business and your unique vantage?

Glam Boutique Spa is a day spa for women to hang with their girlfriends and get quick as well as luxurious services like airbrush spray tans, facials, lash extensions, brows, waxing, and sugaring. Glam carries some of the industry’s best skincare & body care products, such as Intraceuticals, Epicuren, Restoration Skincare and PCA and offers lifestyle apparel and merchandise. Our luxurious spa offers convenience by offering common day spa services that won’t break the bank under one roof in a plush environment (think Beverly hills in the Valley).

What made you choose to get into the luxury beauty business?

I’m very particular about taking good care of my skin and I have always been into all things beauty hence the reason I went to Bellus Academy of San Diego for Aesthetics. However, my decision to open up my spa really came because of my daughters, two of which have gone through hormonal teen acne. I wanted to create a space where women and their daughters could come and get the best skin care treatments and feel beautiful and confident.

What is your proudest accomplishment in 2016? What’s the biggest goal for 2017?

My proudest accomplishment in 2016 was definitely opening my spa and having my family and friends gather around me to celebrate what has been a passion project and a longtime dream of mine. My biggest goal for 2017? Growing Glam boutique spa’s clientele and seeing people’s skin transformed one glam service at a time!

What helped you get to where you are right now?

Opening up Glam Boutique Spa was definitely a clear goal because I’ve always wanted to own my business and a combination of factors has helped me get to where I am now. One is my creative nature and knack for transforming things to showcase their best attributes, which stems from my background in home and interior design. Another is having strong entrepreneurial women and mentors around me that inspired me to make a career for myself and build a family business for my daughters.

How has being an entrepreneur affected your life?

Being an entrepreneur has definitely made my schedule busier. I have to think more strategically now about time management and budgeting, which I haven’t thought of as intensely in past years. Providing beauty services for clients and getting positive reactions is rewarding because I’m able to impact how they feel about themselves which adds value to their life and mine as well! This has been a reminder to me that people definitely remember you for how you made them feel.
