Janis: The best part about running a business as a mother/daughter team is who better to continue the legacy and help me grow the business to another level, than my daughter.
Carly: The best part about being a mother/daughter team is I’m able to learn from the most influential person in my life - my mother. She’s an icon in the Matchmaking industry and I’m so fortunate to have been trained by my mentor. If I need advice or guidance in business, I always go to her.
What is your definition of success?
Carly: Success is doing what you love, while helping people and making a business out of it.
What steps do you think are crucial before starting a lasting and successful business?
Janis: Learn the marketplace. See what the demand is, and satisfy it.
Do you think that matchmaking can be learned or is it something you have to be born with?
Carly: If you’re a people person and around people all the time, starting a conversation with people comes naturally. I think it is something that can be learned. The more time you spend with people, it’s easy to see who they’d be great with.
Janis: It’s something I was born with.

Carly: Our service is highly exclusive. It’s for those that don’t have the time or patience for digital things.
