My name is Sarah Hall and I am a celebrity makeup artist, with a background in bio chemistry. I decided to create a vegan product line as a necessity for my children with dry, sensitive skin. How did your previous experiences help you with getting to where you are today?
Combining my Nutritional BioChemistry scholar background and my beauty background has made this product line the perfect balance and allowed me to mix the products at the right ratios to best benefit people of all race & ages. My previous experiences within the industry has definitely helped prepare me for where I am today.The constant roller coaster ups and downs of the business, conquering rejection and getting back up when you fall are vital experiences that I have learned from and have ultimately made me stronger.
Where do you want your business to be in a year and in 20 years from now?
In one year I would like for Restoration Skincare to be a household product name, sold in a variety of retail locations and destination resort & spa locations. In 10 years, I would like to have a full skincare & cosmetics product line for all to enjoy. There will be nothing more gratifying than to see Restoration Skincare acknowledged in the "green product" space as a must have product for all skin types. I really want to educate others about the importance of natural products for your mind, body and spirit. So having restoration Skincare as a international lifestyle brand is my vision!
How do you stop your inner workaholic, take a break and enjoy your life outside your business? Do you have any tips/ tricks?
I’m guilty of being a workaholic! However, I make cautious efforts on a daily basis to step away to spend time with the things that are most important to me. My daily devotional time is very important to my routine, because it prepares me mentally & spiritually to step out into the world. My tip is to ensure you are putting healthy, natural ingredients in your body, from the outside in. This is key to living your best life and not feeling the stresses of the world. What does success mean to you? Can you explain why you think it's a mindset rather than a destination?
Success to me means having happiness & peace. I think success is a mindset because it’s constantly evolving day by day through your experience. If you maintain your peace and happiness, then you will also maintain success. Success can be here one day and gone the next, so the trick to maintaining success is to find your inner success. Don't look outward for the end destination of success.
What one piece of advice can you offer to other entrepreneurs and those who want to start businesses in the future?
Stay focused, try to avoid distractions and most of all be patient. Patience is the key to having true success. You must be careful along the way to not burn bridges and treat people with the proper respect through your journey.
