WERULE Rocks the Unlocked Foundation's Hamptons Women's Wealth Summit!

We at WERULE were thrilled to be a part of the recent Unlocked Foundation's Hamptons Women's Wealth Summit, sponsored by UBS. This incredible event brought together a powerful group of women entrepreneurs, investors, and financial leaders for a day of inspiration, education, and connection.

One of the highlights for us was seeing our dear friend, Ebony Young, the Deputy Borough President of Queens, moderate a captivating panel discussion. Ebony, a force to be reckoned with, skillfully guided the conversation between a distinguished former WNBA player and the audience. It was a powerful example of how women from diverse backgrounds can come together to share their knowledge and experiences around wealth creation and management.

Why is it Important for Women to Talk About Money?

Traditionally, conversations about money, investments, and financial planning have been dominated by men. This has created a knowledge gap for many women, leaving them feeling overwhelmed and unsure when it comes to taking control of their finances.

The Hamptons Women's Wealth Summit is a perfect example of how much can be achieved when women gather to discuss these critical topics openly and honestly. By sharing our experiences, challenges, and successes, we can empower each other to make informed financial decisions and build a more secure future.

Breaking the Silence: How to Start Talking About Money with Your Friends

Here at WERULE, we believe that financial literacy is key to building wealth and achieving financial independence. But we also know that talking about money can feel uncomfortable. Here are a few tips to get the conversation started with your friends:

  • Find a casual setting: Grab coffee, have a virtual brunch, or plan a relaxing spa day. A relaxed atmosphere will make it easier to open up about personal finances.

  • Start small: Don't jump straight into investment strategies. Begin by discussing budgeting tips, debt management tools, or how you're navigating the current economic climate.

  • Focus on shared goals: Perhaps you're all saving for a down payment on a house or planning for retirement.Discussing these shared aspirations can naturally lead to conversations about financial strategies.

  • Frame it as a learning experience: Approach the conversation as an opportunity to learn from each other. Share resources you've found helpful and be open to trying new budgeting apps or financial planning tools together.

The Power of Community: Building Financial Confidence Together

By openly discussing money matters with your friends, you can create a supportive network where you can learn from each other's experiences and hold each other accountable for reaching your financial goals. The Hamptons Women's Wealth Summit is a shining example of the power of community in fostering financial literacy and empowerment for women.

We at WERULE are committed to helping women build wealth and achieve financial freedom. Join the conversation and let's break the silence around money!
