Vivian Rosenthal Is The Founder Of Frequency Breath Work And Diamond Rose Sanctuary
Hello! My name is Vivian, and I’m a breathwork teacher, spiritual guide and energy healer. I started Frequency, the first of its kind breathwork studio, and have led thousands through therapeutic breathwork sessions to help with mental and emotional well-being. I also created Diamond Rose Sanctuary, a retreat center in CT for bringing people together in nature for sacred healing experiences.
What motivated you to become an entrepreneur? Is having your own business something you always wanted?
I was never good at following rules, so I learned quickly that working for myself would be a more meaningful, creative and fulfilling experience. I co-founded my first company, a design studio, during graduate school with a classmate while studying architecture. It was truly thrilling to create something from scratch and that led me down the path of being an entrepreneur. I co-founded LAVVA, a plant based yogurt and before that a tech company. But life turned out to be full of surprises and I found myself very sick with Lyme disease and discovered breathwork as a way to heal…physically, emotionally and spiritually. This took me down an entirely new life path and I decided to devote myself to individual and collective healing. I realized how much I loved being a seeker and how deeply I was drawn to all things spiritual.
What advice would you give to someone starting out or pivoting their business or their career?
Follow your bliss! When we find what we love, everything becomes an adventure and full of magic. Work no longer feels like work, instead it becomes an unfolding journey of discovering yourself and the world around you. This is the path of the seeker. This is awakening to your own hero’s journey and realizing that anything is possible. What is the reality you wish to create for yourself? For the world?
How do you approach getting a mentor? What are some tips for people who are looking for mentors, but don’t really have them yet?
I’ve had many mentors and while I consider myself lucky to have learned from so many incredible people, I made the effort to seek them out. I love people and I love learning and each person that you cross paths with and take the time to deeply get to know offers great pearls of wisdom. More than mentors, I think of these people as teachers, guides and friends. They have literally shared so much of themselves with me and I feel so grateful for their service to humanity through their teachings. My advice is to identify the person whose work and mission deeply touches you and then get creative and figure out a way to have your paths align!
