WERULE'S Soho House AAPI Month Celebration with The CEO of Diane Von Furstenberg Gabby Hirata

Every May, the United States celebrates Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month. This is a time to recognize the vast contributions of AAPI communities to American society. AAPI encompasses a broad range of ethnicities and cultures, from East and Southeast Asia to the Pacific Islands. The month is important because it allows us to celebrate these diverse heritages, learn about the historical and ongoing challenges faced by AAPI communities, and promote inclusion and understanding.

We had the privilege of celebrating AAPI Heritage Month at Soho House in Manhattan. The event was a vibrant showcase of Asian American and Pacific Islander culture. Among the many highlights were the incredible speakers, including Gabby Hirata, the CEO of Diane Von Furstenberg. Her insights on navigating the fashion industry as an AAPI leader were both inspiring and empowering. The entire evening was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the achievements of AAPI individuals and foster a sense of community.

Here is the beautiful letter Julie (Our Co-Host) wrote to all participants, which highlights all the speakers and puts it all so well. Thank you Julie!

Wow, what a night! We're still buzzing with excitement! I just wanted to say another huge thank you for being a part of it and making the night so special.

If you want to connect with our amazing speakers from last night, you can find all of them on Instagram. Be sure to give them a follow:

Oh, and if you ever need someone to bounce marketing or business ideas off of or collaborate with for the next event, please don't hesitate to DM me here on Instagram. I'm a marketing strategist, and I'm always ready for a good brainstorming session.

I have to give a huge shoutout to my co-host, Justyna Kedra from WERULE

These amazing ladies run a global platform that's been empowering female founders since 2015. And now, with their brand new advisory platform, you can book top experts to get on-demand advice and take your business to the next level. How cool is that?! No wonder they've been awarded by the United Nations, NY Mayor, and have worked with big brands like Tiffany and Co, Goldman Sachs, and Nasdaq.

Also, if you're wondering about the delicious Shiitake-look dim sum we had last night, it's from a Michelin Star Chinese restaurant called HuTong, located on 59th between 3rd and Lex. And those yummy peanuts were sponsored by 50 Hertz - you can find them in Chelsea Market.

Thanks again for being a part of our event - have a fabulous weekend and we can't wait to see you at the next one!

 XO,

Julie Zhu, Marketing Strategist
