We’re always looking for Mentors and Volunteers assist us in motivating our young ladies to not only be wonderful moms but successful women.
Don't 4Get Me is an organization designed to Motivate, Uplift, and Empower teenage mothers. We offer an array of services such as Mentorship programs, Educational events i.e Dress For Success, Uplifting Events, Parenting classes etc. Our goal is to not only ensure that they are Great moms But to transform our young ladies from Statistic To Success.
Since starting your business, what is one thing it has taught you- either personally or professionally?
Persistence is Key! It wasn't easy to start this organization. I got quite a few no’s before I got my first Yes.
Success means… To complete your goal no matter what.
My biggest dream is to… Reopen Pregnant and Parenting schools (at least 1 in each borough ) with all of the necessary service needed to ensure our teen mothers complete high school in a supportive environment and pushing them to become successful women.
You can’t run a business without… A successful team.
The most important thing about helping others is… The fulfillment in knowing that you’re giving people a second chance at life even when it seems life has dealt them a bad hand.
What are the main obstacles that inhibit the fulfillment of your mission? Securing resources and tools needed to carry out. How do you work to overcome them?
Finding finances for events and resources is always a challenge, like any non-profit overcome it by getting people involved and urging my friends and family to support. I appreciate that they ALWAYS come through.
How has your foundation assist other people to become independent and build their opportunities?
My foundation has assisted others by encouraging them to reach their goals despite where they are in life.
How has your foundation build the social and communication skills of young people, their families and communities and organizations they are associated to?
We encourage them to stay in constant communication with their children and also stay involved to their community by volunteering and staying active.
