Paige Geran is providing athletes & the Hollywood elite with exclusive styling services
What do you do? What does your company stand for?
I'm a celebrity stylist & designer. My company, Style Icon PKG, is known for providing athletes & the Hollywood elite with exclusive styling services in addition to my luxury suit line. I pride myself in creating individual looks for my clients that help create brand exposure. The goal is to ensure that each client leaves their stamp on the fashion world.
Did you always know you wanted to be a stylist or did you experiment with your career in the past?
I definitely knew I would end up in fashion somehow. I used to collect Vogue magazine when I was a little girl and had dreams of becoming a model, but I'm very happy to have found my calling in styling and designing. I have certainly experimented in all facets of the business from TV, Film, Tours, Styling, and Costume Design to now catering to athletes and men’s fashion.
How did you make sure that your services stand out from your competition? Also, is it important to follow what your competition is doing?
I stay extremely organized & connected with my international brands to ensure I’m on top of trends. Customer service, efficiency, budget, and time frame are all huge factors in my business, and I definitely stay competitive in that respect. My background in television and film has helped me bring very unique opportunities to my clients, which has launched more business for me. I think it's important to be aware of what your competition is doing, but ultimately you should look to be blazing your own trail to success.
What is one thing trait that every entrepreneur has to have in order to achieve success and happiness?
Balance is key. As a woman I feel like we sacrifice a lot having our own businesses. We are expected to do it all. That's just the standard. We have to wear lots of hats when it comes to family life and achieving success.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?
Don't take "No" for an answer, and find balance in the imbalance. It's a huge challenge building something out of nothing. There is no such thing as an overnight success.
