aga roszak we rule werule

I am a contributing editor at Harper's Bazaar and based in New York City. I recently profiled the inspiring Maye Musk, a supermodel and dietician. I also work as a luxury personal shopper and my clients include Fredrik Eklund from Million Dollar Listing New York.

As a fashion creator, I was learning the magic of design from the best teams in the world representing Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta, and the CFDA Fashion Incubator.  My own label, .AGAROSZAK, was shown during London Fashion Weekend at the prestigious Saatchi Gallery. I obtained Master’s Degree in Social Psychology and l love to share my knowledge on Instagram!

What do you think is amazing about doing business in New York? What resources do the women entrepreneurs of NYC need?

I feel like there are probably no barriers in New York and most of the dreams can be potentially achieved as soon as we dare to reach for them. We should stop thinking of limitations because of gender when it comes to business or anything.

What did you want to do when you were a child? What changed since? Why?

I wanted to be an astronaut, that was my first dream job. The sky is so mysterious and elusive. Everybody can see it and nobody can own it. I’d love to fly to the moon with Yusaku Maezawa in 2023.

What are your favorite business tools and/or resources and why?

Instagram and Mailchimp. Ahh I love Mailchimp! I think they show a flying rocket on the screen when you click the button “send” - ha!

What’s one important lesson you learned?

My grandparents taught me the best lessons back in Poland. They didn’t go to a college after World War II but their truths are eternal. They have guts and I never heard them talking negative about life.

Imagine you can choose how your future in 5 years looks like. What is it? Why?

I hope there will be very few things happening in my life but it will be very exciting. Simplicity is the key to success!

How do you generate new ideas to stay relevant on the market? Is it important to innovate in your space?

I am usually trying look at the world in a fresh way.

What are your short/long term goals?

I’d love to run a fashion-tech company. Ideally, I would sell it in a future for decent money and get comfortably involved in the space industry because that really makes me feel double-excited. Life is iffy though. We shall see!

What do you think about company culture? What are some of your tips on being a good leader?

100% freedom given and 100% responsibility expected. When I had interns I was clarifying what I needed but I usually didn’t explain exactly how to achieve it. I gave them the opportunity to figure things out.

Who is the one super successful person you look up to? Why them? Can you share their quote/ideology that inspires you the most?

I think just my grandparents because they created a happy, simple life for themselves.
