Just Like OM is a wellness studio designed for entrepreneurs. When you start your brand you need two things, space and an income, we provide both. We wanted to create a studio that offers the best classes, trainings, programs, workshops, etc., but also allows instructors and professionals to have a space to grow their brands, host workshops, build their clientele, continue their training, or become certified in Pilates or Yoga and start their career. We offer group classes, private and duet sessions, Prenatal Pilates and Yoga, Kids Yoga, Health Coaching and so much more.

What motivated you to become an entrepreneur? Is having your own business something you always wanted?
I started my first business when I was about 10 or 11, babysitting, I made business cards and put them in all of my neighbors mailboxes and put flyers up at church. I always wanted to be my own boss. Just Like OM is my third business, I have changed careers 3 times and lived in 3 different states until I found my calling.
How did you come up with your business idea? What inspired you?
Working in other studios and not really being able to grow past a certain point made me feel like I was stuck and I wanted to make sure that I created something that allowed everyone to grow as much as they wanted. I also needed space to work with my clients and wanted to have other people around me because being an entrepreneur can be very isolating.
What do you think is the biggest obstacle for female founders? How can we overcome it?
The biggest obstacle for me is that I am rarely taken seriously. I also look young so people’s first response is to treat me like I don’t have experience, so learning how to be very direct and always questioning the information I am given and not being afraid to call someone out that is trying to mislead you.
What is your biggest dream? Why? Describe your biggest vision for your business.
For people who do work like this our biggest joy is working with our clients and seeing them heal or progress or achieve their goals. I want to help others be able to do this with their clients and to duplicate this concept/community through opening additional studios or creating a franchise that allows for more freedom to customize your business while benefiting from the training, marketing, and branding of Just Like OM.
