BASED IN: NEW YORK

I am a former news anchor that decided she is more fit for entertainment industry. That is how I set my goal on becoming an entertainment broadcast journalist. I covered many red carpets, film premieres and fashion shows for Jones Magazine,Elle Serbia, Fashion One, The Examiner, The Source, Style Music TV, Vigore! Magazine, The Stashed, The Sybarite, Fashion Reverie The Knockturnal, Glammonitor  and Wannabe Magazine and  conducted interviews with some of the biggest stars in show business. Those include Oscar de la Renta, Betsey Johnson, Kelsey Grammar, Bette Midler, Debra Messing, Ashanti, Kelly Rutherford and many others.

That is what led me to writing and producing videos to eventually forming Pop Style TV.

My intension is to investigate, bring the latest trends and introduce the industry’s rising stars from the local and international scene. I want our audience to have fun watching and reading our stories.

If you could give your younger self one piece advice, what would it be?

I would not hesitate in my decisions even for a second. It is important to react fast and go for what you want. I remind myself every day  that everything is possible and the first step is to be clear about what your goals are. I am working for my own dreams, not someone else' and it is hard to understand why would anyone live differently.

Do you see yourself starting another business or do you want to just run this one as long as possible?

Possibilities are endless and when you do things you love new ideas are born. There are many things I would like to do in the future and definitely would like to start another business.

How does being foreign help you with your business? Did working in NYC give you more credibility or do you think your NYC experience didn’t matter so much?

I think there are advantages and disadvantages. Broadcast journalism doesn't welcome foreigners easily therefore you have to be prepared for a long battle. I do believe that people from my part of the world are stubborn and do not easily change their habits but it helps when you need to be persistent. I definitely have that attribute and it turns out it works well in the entertainment industry. Living in New York City taught me to face challenges head on because you'll run into obstacles daily so your only other option is to hide at home. Every problem is solvable and I don't mean to generalize but I fell that people in other cities don't have the ability to deal with more than one issue at the time.

What was the idea behind your name/brand? What does it stand for?

POP Style TV focuses on local NYC scene. There are many interesting New Yorkers  that didn't get the exposure they deserve just because media covers same faces over and over. NYC has very unique nightlife, art and underground fashion scene that is not as strong as in the 80's but is still present. It is  somewhat forgotten so we aim to uncover it.

Do you believe that it takes a special person to be an entrepreneur or does everyone have it in them?

I don't think it is possible for everyone to start their own business. We are all made differently and for some people 9-5 jobs are exactly what they want and need. In my opinion "Entrepreneurs" are often workaholics who love what they do and they do it whole day, every day anyway. However if you are lucky enough for your work to get noticed you get the "entrepreneur"  tittle.

Why do you think so many people limit themselves? What advice would you give them?

Get rid of fear and stop thinking of "what if"? Life is short, you don't know how much time you have left so stop wishing and start doing.
