NimmiLife helps busy business professionals and entrepreneurs, on-the-go moms, and creative types, amongst others, uncover their potential and accomplish their goals. We identify your needs and offer personalized solutions. As the CEO-founder of NimmiLife, I believe that success and wellness go hand in hand. We help you elevate your productivity while paying attention to your wellness. We use creativity tips and holistic wellness (Yoga, Ayurveda, mindfulness, and meditation) to find solutions to your obstacles.

What was the inspiration behind starting Nimmi Life?

I am a writer and have authored 11 books in less than 7 years. Elevated productivity isn’t just about dedication to your work; in my humble opinion, it is possible only when you have health on your side. I have very closely seen what creativity can do if one isn’t mindful about wellness (eating and sleeping patterns, exercising regularly, allowing the wrong people in our lives when vulnerable, not focusing on work life balance etc.). I have made those mistakes.

After my mother’s sudden death in 2014, I was unable to write or work much. Holistic wellness is what helped me recover, prioritize, regroup, re-energize, and create. Once I figured out what was working for me, the intention was to help other fellow artists become more productive, fight the darkness, find strength in their vulnerabilities, create from a calm place…all without compromising on their wellness. Soon I started to realize, as people reached to me, that most of us are struggling to find that balance. Majority of people are struggling to include creativity, productivity, and wellness in the same space. I figured: why limit the services of NimmiLife to only artists when I can help others too? I feel grateful knowing I am doing something positive for the world.

My mother’s name was Nimmi and she was known for her nurturing skills, so the name, “NimmiLife,” comes from there.

What advice do you have for others who are inspired to start their own platform in the life-coaching/wellness space ?

Starting your own platform is both exciting and daunting. Many sleepless nights and many moments of exhilaration. I took my first day off in 2016 in the 1st week of August. But it’s all worth it. So, go after your dreams; believe in yourself; surround yourself with those who uplift you; find a community; don’t be afraid to ask for help; be generous in helping others; and, always do the right thing. There are so many people getting into the wellness and coaching space…don’t be intimidated or competitive. The more of us do this, the demand for wellness goes up, and the world becomes a healthier space.

How important is it to have a support system when starting your own business?

Extremely important. I have worked as a freelancer for a few years and realized early on that you need a community to survive and thrive. People who are in the same place as you. People who get you. As a newbie entrepreneur, I was amazed by how many people really wanted to help out.

How do you define success?

To me success is about making a positive impact in the world. I measure experiences and relationships much more than sales. Yes, money is important. But, for me, when my clients and attendees at events tell me that their work or personal life or health changed because of our work together, that is way more sacred.

What do you envision for your future endeavors?

I need some quiet time, which will happen after Labor Day, to reflect on the next steps. That being said, I am open to collaborations and the universe conspiring to make things happen.
