BASED IN: SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA
I help individuals, small businesses and brands shine online. My work ranges from content management and web production to customized growth strategy. Since I aim to make digital less difficult (and fun!) for my clients. I’m very specific about which projects I take on - and I pour a ton of energy into client relationships. Because I love serving as a catalyst for others, my goal is always to leave people feeling educated and empowered when our work together is finished.
What motivates you to keep pushing when the going gets tough?
There are a couple of different things that keep me pushing forward during tough times.
The first is my clients; their energy and excitement about our work together lights me on fire and keeps me pushing on.
The second thing that keep me motivated is taking a step back to remember that my work allows me to fully sketch out each day and completely design my life. Reminding myself that keeping at it means I can work when, how and from where I want (when I want) never fails to do the trick.
Is it important to set goals or is it better to just “go with the flow”? What is your strategy?
I think a healthy balance of both is key. It’s important to have a north star, or top-level goals, that can guide you in a specific direction and keep you honest. However, there’s a fair bit of experimentation involved too. Sometimes, trying new things and being open to ‘going with the flow’ can reveal new paths and possibilities or bring you closer to meeting a goal. ‘Going with the flow’ also yields failures, which are massive learning opportunities. You never know until you try
What part of your personality helped you the most with your entrepreneurial journey?
I’ve always been endlessly curious and am a self-starter. I think owning your own business or doing your own thing requires both - a passion to learn, to try new things - and an innate ability to motivate yourself to get stuff done.
How do you define or measure success?
For me, success is having consistent opportunity to earn income while working on projects I love with people who are doing inspiring things - while continuing to learn and grow. While I believe that success can certainly be achieved, I also feel like there’s always something more to reach for.
In my particular case, it was first being successful on my own with a steady stream of clients. Next was figuring out how to scale my business and once I do that, there are a bunch of cool things I want to try and products I’d like to eventually offer. I hope to iterate, reinvent and grow throughout the entire process while elevating my clients to new levels with me.
